Located right across from the historic Empress Hotel, Victoria’s iconic Inner Harbour landmark, City Scene is simply the perfect base from which to explore all of Victoria’s sights, fantastic restaurants, theatres, galleries, the magnificent Legislative buildings, IMAX theatre, museums & shopping.  If your heart is set on more active pursuits, or family activities, within a couple of blocks you will find bike rentals and miles of bike paths, whale watching, kayaking, charter fishing excursions, sailing, a Petting Zoo, a Bug Zoo, bus tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and so much more. Everything that you will need, or want to do, for a memorable stay in Victoria is within walking distance of City Scene, even grocery stores. With a Walk Score of 99, City Scene truly is in the Heart of Victoria.

Considered one of the best 2Bed/2Bath floor plans in the building, City Scene is 1074 square feet of high quality, “urban luxe” decor, beautiful modern comfort, flow and space in which to spread out. New on the rental market in January 2017, this condo has been newly appointed from “top to bottom”.  This is city living at its best!

The open-concept great room is, well...great!  There are plenty of comfortable spots to sit and visit, watch TV, even nap :).  Relax in front of the carefree, realistic electric fireplace or watch your favorite show on the 55” 4K Ultra HD TV.  The TV programming options are bountiful, as each of the condo televisions are equipped with a full-package of cable/HD channels and access to Netflix. 

A gorgeous open-concept fully-equipped gourmet kitchen next to the living area is inspiration for even the most challenged cook.  The custom Italian Shiffini kitchen features black pinewood cabinetry with precision soft-touch closures and ample lighting.  Granite countertops and backsplash, high-end stainless steel appliances, large refrigerator, a gas cooktop, an efficient European sized convection wall oven, dishwasher, microwave, ceiling high range hood and a large stainless steel sink make this kitchen the perfect spot to create a delicious meal or simply warm-up take out.  A sit-up bar at the large kitchen island will easily accommodate 3, adding to the fun of meal prep. Enjoy your meals at the kitchen island or at the dining table, in the great room. 

Outside, the 150 square foot porcelain tiled balcony off of the great room has a nifty bistro set with a couple of chairs and a side table - perfect for a coffee, or a glass of wine and your favorite book.  An electric BBQ adds to the outdoor living space and affords you carefree grilling, with no propane or natural gas to worry about!

The elegant Master bedroom retreat provides the perfect end, and beginning, for every day.  A high-end, luxurious King size bed, a generous walk-in closet, chest of drawers and a 43” 4K Ultra HD TV(with full cable package) help make this space feel like your own home.  The attached spa-inspired ensuite bathroom features Italian Shiffini black pinewood cabinetry, a frameless glass shower with ceiling-high marble, a cast-iron spa soaker tub, limestone vanity and double sinks.
Not to be outdone, the inviting second bedroom has a high-end, luxurious Queen size bed, with under-bed storage drawers and a good-sized closet.  
Both bedroom have black out curtains to block the sunlight when sleeping.

Adjacent to the second bedroom, the Guest Bath has all of the luxury finishes found in the Master Bath: Italian Shiffini black pinewood cabinetry, a large, frameless glass shower with ceiling-high marble and a limestone vanity.

On a practical note, City Scene has an in-suite washer and dryer.  We provide the laundry detergent and the instructions for the machines.  Yes...you still have to do your own laundry ;).

Whether you are in Victoria for work or play, rest assured that City Scene will keep you safely and reliably connected, with fast, high speed and secure WiFi provided to our guests.  Also provided for our guests’ convenience is a home phone (landline) with free local calling. 

You will be treated to many of the perks of luxury resort living during your stay, as City Scene is situated in one of Victoria’s premiere upscale condominium developments, The Falls.  Cascading waterfalls and a lush garden courtyard remind you that not far away are the beautiful, pristine forests of British Columbia.  With a lovely view of the Empress Hotel, the seasonal outdoor pool and year-round hot tub area provide a serene reprieve to relax and recharge.  In the evenings, cozy-up around the outdoor fireplace in the outdoor lounge area, opposite the pool.  Though Victoria abounds with year-round outdoor recreation opportunities,  should you want to get your exercise indoors, The Falls has a fully-equipped gym with treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, a full complement of weights, showers, a change room and more... a wall of windows with a view of the Empress Hotel! 

As one would expect with a luxury high-end building, security has been carefully considered: fob access is required to enter the building and, again, to gain access to your floor.  The secure underground parkade is double-gated and 24-hour video surveillance monitors all building entry points.

Local public transportation is at your doorstep.  Getting here, or going back, the BC Ferries Connector bus service, providing service to The Gulf Islands, Vancouver and the Lower Mainland is just one block from City Scene. The Victoria Airport is 30 minutes away with convenient shuttle service (YYJ Shuttle) available, also just one block away. The Coho Ferry to Washington State leaves from the Inner Harbour. The float planes fly daily straight out of The Inner Harbour traveling to Seattle and Vancouver. The Victoria Clipper passenger-only-ferry sails into downtown Seattle and offers ground transport shuttles to other destinations in Seattle, such as the airport.

Bike storage can be a tricky issue.  Every building has a different bike storage policy and there are no guarantees that spots will be available.  Every building has a zero tolerance for bikes in the lobbies or elevators, fines will be issued for such.  Unfortunately this building has no availability in the bike room.
We recommend renting bikes while you are here, many of the bike rental companies will allow them to be stored there at the end of the day even if you rent them for a week.

If you have a large vehicle, please be sure and check the garage clearance for the building to make sure your vehicle will fit.

This was an exceptional vacation property. Well located, very clean, furnishings were in great shape. One of the best vacation accommodations I have ever had ( including 5 star hotels). Lawrence was really helpful. See you next time.


PARKING for one vehicle is INCLUDED in the rent in the buildings' secure underground garage.
PARKING GARAGE CLEARANCE is 6 feet 8 inches.
MAXIMUM LENGTH is 18 feet.

CHECK IN time is 4:00 and CHECK OUT time is 11:00.  Occasionally we may be able to accommodate special requests but there are no guarantees. 

ALL of our rentals are NON-SMOKING. City/Strata bylaws dictate that there is no smoking inside, outside, on balconies or even within 3 metres (30 feet) of all buildings.  Fines are enforced.

NO PETS allowed.

No Bike Storage in this Building.

VP cannot guarantee that building amenities will be functional, sometimes they are down for service and this is out of our control.  
There is no wifi in the common areas of buildings, ie: meeting rooms and gym/pool area.

No furniture is ever to be added or removed without written approval and assistance by VP.

The Pool operates on a seasonal basis and is generally open from Victoria Day long weekend to Labour Day long weekend (approximately 3rd weekend of May to 1st weekend of September).  It may be open longer in September but is totally weather dependent.  The hot tub is open year round.

Taxes are 3% Municipal, 5% GST and 8% PST.
No taxes on 30+ night rentals.  
January and February are limited to full month rentals.
